Salt Water Fishing Reports (updated January, 2017)
Sabine Lake - Trout and redfish good over mud and shell. Sheepshead and black drum good around the jetties.
Galveston - Trout are good along east shoreline of Trinity Bay and north shoreline of East Bay, as well as over mud and shell in West Bay. Redfish, black drum and sheepshead are good around jetties.
Matagorda - Trout are good over humps and scattered shell in East Bay. Redfish good along south shoreline of West Bay.
Port O'Connor - Trout and reds good in San Antonio Bay and in back lakes.
Rockport - Trout good along channel edges. Redfish good in Lydia Ann Channel.
Port Aransas/Aransas Pass - Trout and redfish good along channel edges.
Corpus Christi - Trout good in Oso Bay. Redfish good in Humble Channel.
Baffin Bay - Trout good over mud and grass, as well as in the guts along the King Ranch shoreline.
Port Mansfield - Redfish good in potholes. Trout good over mud flats adjacent to deep water.
|Port Isabel/South Padre - "Fishing good.. Schools of reds and drum scattered from south of Cullen's to northeast of Duncan's and Gaswell's hitting on plastics, GULP!s, cut bait and shrimp. Reds and some trout also scattered all over Gaswell's and some south of Cullen's hitting with GULP!s under maulers, plastics, topwaters and cut bait. Mesquite Flats also has small schools of reds and some scattered along with a few trout hitting with topwaters, plastics and cutbait.South Bay has scattered reds, a few trout and snook hitting with live mullet, plastics, topwaters and cutbait......GOOD LUCK " - Capt.
