WaveSpin to Offer Two New Reel Models in 2011
At the annual ICAST fishing trade show held earlier this month in Las Vegas, WaveSpin Reels announced they would be offering two new models of spinning reels in 2011. The new reels, dubbed ZTR (Zero Tangle Reels), are being billed as "an economical alternative" to WaveSpin's existing lineup.
The original WaveSpin spinning reel, known for its innovative spool design which reduces line tangles, was designed by well-known bass fishing personality Doug Hannon and first released four years ago. In addition to its signature spool design, the WaveSpin also features an extremely smooth drag and light, durable body. The original WaveSpin models, which retail for between $72 and $107, have also developed a reputation as a good dollar value given its high quality performance. The new models will retail for nearly half the cost of the existing DH series. The specifications for the new ZTR series reels are:
