Flexibility Sets Mad Dad Minnow Apart

Vibrating baits are nothing new. In fact, lures such as the Heddon Sonar have long been a favorite of freshwater fishermen for a variety of species, as have been a myriad of lipless crankbaits. To that end, Creme's Mad Dad Minnow doesn't look like anything all that innovative.

However, looks can be deceiving. In fact, unless you feel the Mad Dad Minnow, you probably won't notice a very important difference - it's a soft-plastic bait that fishes like a hard plastic lure.

The obvious advantage to the soft-plastic body is it feels more "real" to fish. Another benefit of the lure's flexibility is fish are not able to use the lure body for leverage to free a hook. But, amazingly, despite a very bendable body, the Mad Dad Minnow still emits every bit as much vibration as its hard-bodied counterparts.

The Mad Dad has proven effective in a variety of situations. Essentially, anywhere you would use a blade bait or lipless crank is appropriate for this bait as well. Additionally, it's one, back-turned double-hook makes it less likely to grab obstructions when worked through heavy cover. The solo hook also makes for safer and more efficient fish handling during fast-paced action, such as with schooling bass - a situation where the Mad Dad really shines.
