East Texas Lakes
Caddo - Black bass good on surface baits and Texas-rigged plastics. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass good on inline spinners, jigs and minnows. Catfish good on nightcrawlers.
Conroe - Black bass good on Carolina-rigged soft-plastics and spinnerbaits. Stripers fair on jigs. Crappie good on minnows and small jigs. Catfish good on stinkbait and shrimp.
Fork - Black bass fair on topwaters, buzzbaits and frogs early, Carolina rigs, lipless cranks and jigs later. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish fair on nightcrawlers and prepared baits.
Livingston - Black bass good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Stripers slow. White bass very good on spoons and Hellbenders. Crappie good on minnows and jigs. Catfish good on cut shad and live bait.
Sam Rayburn - Black bass good on soft-plastics. White bass fair on spoons. Crappie good on tube jigs, spoons and minnows. Bluegill good on nightcrawlers. Catfish good on stinkbait.
Toledo Bend - Black bass fair on soft-plastics. Stripers fair on bucktail jigs. White bass fair on spoons. Crappie good on jigs and minnows.
South Texas Lakes
Amistad - Black bass good on topwaters, spinnerbaits, swimbaits and soft-plastics. Striped bass fair on deep diving crankbaits and slab spoons. White bass fair on lipless cranks. Catfish good on shrimp and nightcrawlers.
Calaveras - Black bass good on soft-plastics, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Striped bass good on shad and spoons. Redfish very good on spoons. Crappie slow. Catfish good on shrimp and shad.
Choke Canyon - Black bass fair on soft-plastics, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. White bass slow. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish good on stinkbait.
